January 19, 2011  With the help of Living Waters of the World, the ministry that provides clean water systems a,
Hope Alive has set up it's second project. The Parent Clinic is located along a canal, which links to the river
believed to be the source of the Cholera outbreak. A new clean water system, the same as the first one set up in
Marian, will soon be making hundreds of gallons each day. Along with Cholera-free water, soap is being
distributed, with hygiene education.

There will be more trips as the year progresses. Prayerfully consider how you may be involved. Please continue
to pray for the Haitian people. Pray that the Cholera would dry up, that lives would be restored, an end to the
political turmoil and that God would be glorified in the country of Haiti.

November 15, 2010  As of today, the Cholera deaths have reached over 900. Please continue to pray that this
menace will be stopped. Our Haitian staff has been on high alert since the outbreak. Education is needed for
prevention, as well as personal hygiene and clean water.

November 10, 2010   Hurricane Tomas has passed over Haiti and the damage is much less than was expected.
Lots of rain and the wind did minimal damage to tarps and tents which was a big concern. Our Mariani clinic was
open through the storm for anyone that needed shelter. Fortunately, only a few showed up for just a short time.
We thank God for His protection.
The town of Leogane was hit hard with flooding. We have friends that have missions in that area. We continue to
pray for all in the area.
We are bracing for more Cholera cases in all the clinic areas. Education is the best defence for this sickness.
Using clean water is the most important step. Our clean water system in Mariani can produce up to 1,200 gallons
of water a day.
Please continue to pray for Haiti and that God would be glorified through this epidemic.

October 26, 2010   Renaud and his team from Mariani arrived at our Parent clinic yesterday the 25th. They
worked along side Myriam and Mona and others distributing hygiene items including soap, toilet paper, bottled
water, water treatment liquid, and re-hydration salts. Most importantly, they were able to present "classes"
concerning Cholera prevention and hygiene.
The team did not encounter any Cholera positive patients (Amen) and will continue to work to help prevent
further outbreaks. Please continue to pray.

September 4, 2010   The August "away team" has returned with great reports from Haiti. There was so much
accomplished for the Haitian people, the clinic, and each other, all for God's Glory.  All travelers felt that it was
truly a life changing experience, not only for each Haitian that was ministered to and loved on, but to each team
member themselves.

August 3, 2010   The August Team will be leaving for Haiti in a few short weeks. We will be bringing lots of meds,
vitamins, and supplies. We praise God for the folks who have "stepped up" and are offering their time and talents
to help the Haitian people. We also thank all of you who have donated items and funds. Your giving has made a
world of difference.

There are more medical and dental trips planned for early next year. Prayerfully consider if you would like to
"step up" and assist this Haitian people. (you don't even have to be a doctor) Remember all the snow last year??
Well, Haiti usually gets no snow and when the temps in New Jersey get down to 10 degrees, it is a comfortable
80 to 90 in Haiti.
Please pray about a Haiti Missions trip with Hope Alive. You will never forget the experience.

July 17, 2010  The team arrived in Haiti July the ninth and it was a wonderful time. We saw several patients and
gave out a little over a half ton of food and supplies. Dr. Ron, from Florida, attended to many folks, along with
Nurse Heidi and assistant Katie. Toni is a dental hygienist who attended to several smiles. Marcy and Kathryn
worked in the pharmacy, sorting meds and vitamins. Mark prayed with about every Haitian who visited the clinic.
He also made some vital repairs to the clinic foundation and block. (Amen) The Come Alive Church Youth Group,
who were visiting a YWAM base in Port-au-Prince, visited on Tuesday. These are folks from our own home church
in Medford NJ. It was great to see them and a blessing for them to see Hope Alive in action. They distributed
almost 800 (!) bags of food, clothes, shoes, and meds. (Amen again) .

Haiti is on it's way back to a brighter tomorrow. Individual folks are repairing their own houses. The mood on the
streets seems to indicate a sense of moving forward. We are blessed to be a part.

July 7, 2010  We are excited to be ministering in Haiti all next week. A change of plans will have us at the
Mariani Clinic site with side trips to the orphanage and tent city at World Harvest Church. Please pray for the
team as we help these precious folks.

June 16, 2010  We are seeing God putting things together for our next trips. The July trip will take us to our two
Northern clinics, Kolmini and Parant. Both are near St Marc.  We plan to begin the second clean water project
which will provide drinkable water to the clinic and the school/church next door.

We are so thankful for our board members and volunteers up here in the states. They are indeed God's "hands
and feet" and encouragers too. We are also thankful for folks like you. Your heart for helping Haiti is "gold in
God's eyes."

This past week we were able to ship just over one TON of meds, food, infant formula, clothes and shoes. These
items usually take about five weeks to reach the clinic. Our shipping company is a gift from God. All items have
safely reached the front doors of our clinic since we started. We pray that the system in place continues.

It has been raining quite much these past few days in Haiti. Our clinic staff have been doing ok in tents. They also
have the option to stay in the clinic building if need be. Building is going very slow in Haiti. Trouble with the
government's "share" and lack of clear deeds has made a mess. Customs are holding badly needed building
supplies for their "share" too, from the big relief groups. However, we know God is in control.

June 2, 2010  New trip information. Look to the left for links. We are excited to see what the Lord will be
doing. If you are interested in going, let us know. Haiti needs you.

May 30. 2010   Many Haitians are returning to what is left of their homes. Our staff reports people pounding
cement blocks in the rubble. They are breaking blocks into small pieces either to be re-used or sold. Some are
then putting tents or tarps right there. Restoring Haiti will take years, but the country is well on it's way.

All five clinics continue to provide medical care and supplies to the Haitian people. We thank God for His Grace
and you for your giving.

May 22, 2010 We have posted a new video that outlines some of our response efforts. The response will continue
as we are now entering our restoration phase. Hope Alive is looking into land purchase and staff housing, along
with repairs to the clinic building.

Your kindness and generosity for the Haitian people makes this all possible. Please continue to pray for Haiti and
consider going on a trip with us. You'll never be the same.
