Hope Alive! Clinic Ministries Mission Trip Opportunities
The stunning events in Haiti this year have changed the nation, it's people, and ministries such as Hope Alive, along with the hearts of folks like you. The aftermath of the quake has prompted a new direction of outreach for us. We are in awe of the outpouring of support and prayer, and we are excited to be part of restoring Haiti to exceedingly abundant standards of life and spirit. Below is some information for our trips Please remember to pray.
F.A.Q's. I am not a doctor, what can I do? We hear from all types of people after the trip. Salesmen, housewives, auto mechanics, accountants, and the like all are amazed that they have had a part in helping Haiti. God has given us all gifts. All can be used to minister to His people and bring Him Glory. A lot of ministry is done after hours or at a break in the day. Any project, game, or just "hanging out" with these folks is gold in God's eyes. These folks need to know that people care for them. We always have projects going on at the clinics. There is always something to do. Can I assist the doctors? Absolutely! Some of our most blessed team members are the ones who hold the flashlights and assist the dentists, or give an injection. Again, there are many tasks and all they require is a willing heart. What else? The list is almost endless. Has God given you a specific burden? Let us know. We now are growing many trees that are edible and grow fast because of one's listening to God. How about a VBS for kids or an art class highlighting the Bible? Can you hand someone shoes? Rice? How about helping with raising a tent? Distribute clean water to 300 folks. Again, flexibility is the key. What is the weather like? In a word; hot. There is a cool breeze from the ocean on the clinic balcony and we have fans running in the clinic. The January through May months are quite comfortable and a relief from the cold winters in the US. How is the electricity? The clinic is equipped with 2 generators; a primary and a back-up. The power is on during our stay. It is standard 110 volts. The places that we stay have the same standard electricity that USUALLY runs through the night. Insurance? Phone calls home? Yes, the price of the trip includes a missionary policy. Please call for details. We have a special phone for calling the US and internet at the clinic. Also, most places we stay have WiFi. Other Questions? Call Frank 609-828-8273
